Parental Consent for Your Child's FamBam Account
You're adding a child under 13 to your FamBam household. U.S. law (COPPA) requires us to tell you what we'll collect and ask for your consent before we create the account. Please read this notice carefully.
What we collect
- Your child's first name or nickname
- Your child's birth year and month (we do not store the birth day)
- Your child's role in your household (kid or teen)
- Content your household creates about your child — like chores assigned, tasks completed, and calendar events they're part of
- A record of this consent (timestamp and your user ID)
We do not collect your child's email, phone number, location, device identifiers, photos of your child (unless you upload them), or any advertising IDs.
Why we collect it
We use this information only to give your child a managed account inside your household, so you and your family can assign chores, track tasks, and share calendars with them.
Who we share it with
No one. Your child's information stays inside FamBam. We do not send it to Anthropic, Google, Sentry, or any other third party. AI features, voice input, crash reporting, and analytics are all disabled for kid accounts.
What your child cannot do
Children under 13 cannot sign in on their own, cannot use the Bam AI assistant, cannot use voice features, cannot scan documents, and cannot chat with anyone outside your household.
No ads, ever
We don't show ads to anyone, and we will never use your child's information to market anything to them.
Your rights as the parent
At any time, you can:
- View everything we have about your child
- Correct any information
- Delete your child's account and all their data
- Revoke your consent, which will disable the account immediately
You can do all of this in the app under Settings → Family, or by emailing privacy@fambam.app. When you revoke consent or delete the account, we will purge your child's data within 30 days.
