Delete Your Account

Effective 2026-08-13 · Version 1.0

Effective Date: August 13, 2026 Version: 1.0 Last Updated: August 13, 2026

This page explains how to delete your FamBam account, how a parent can delete a child's account, and exactly what data we delete and what we retain when you do. FamBam is operated by FamBam Labs LLC ("FamBam," "we," "us," or "our"), a Texas limited liability company. If you have any questions, email us at privacy@fambam.app.

Delete your account in the app

You can request account deletion at any time, directly inside the FamBam app:

  1. Open the FamBam app on your phone.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

Your deletion request is processed immediately, and your personal data is purged from our active systems within the timeframe described in What we delete below.

Delete your account by email

If you cannot access the app, or you prefer to have us process the deletion for you, email privacy@fambam.app from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete your account. We may need to verify your identity before we act on the request. We will complete verified deletion requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 30 days).

Delete a child's account (parents and guardians)

If you are a parent or legal guardian who added a child under 13 to your household, you control that child's data. Children under 13 do not have their own login, so their accounts are managed through your account:

  1. Open the FamBam app.
  2. Go to Settings → Family.
  3. Select the child's profile.
  4. Choose Delete to remove the child's account and all associated data.

You can also revoke your parental consent or request deletion of a child's data by emailing privacy@fambam.app. When you revoke consent or delete a child's account, we purge that child's data from our active systems immediately, consistent with our obligations under COPPA.

What we delete, and what we retain

When you delete your account, we delete your personal data — including your profile, authentication credentials, and the personal content associated with your account — from our active systems. Here is the timeline and the limited exceptions:

DataWhat happens on deletion
Your profile, account, and personal contentPurged from active systems within 30 days of your deletion request
Backup copiesRetained up to 30 additional days after deletion, then overwritten
Children's data (under 13)Purged immediately upon account deletion or parental consent revocation
Subscription and billing recordsRetained only as required by tax and accounting law (generally up to 7 years), and only the minimum records the law requires

Shared household content. FamBam is built for households ("Fams") shared among multiple members. If you created content that other members of your household still rely on (for example, a shared calendar event, task, or list item), that shared content may remain visible to the household after your account is deleted, but it is no longer associated with your identity. If you are the only member of a household, deleting your account deletes the household and its content.

Retention for legal reasons. We may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires it (for example, billing records for tax purposes) or where we must resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. We retain only the minimum necessary and delete it when the legal basis for keeping it ends.

For the full picture of how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy and our Children's Privacy Notice.
